The Situation
An ageing parent, four adult children, no shared understanding
A family of four siblings in Khon Kaen knew their mother had property, bank accounts, and insurance — but no one had a clear picture of what existed or where documents were kept. Previous conversations had ended in disagreement.
What We Did
Kinvault ran six facilitated sessions with the family over six weeks. Each session had a structured agenda sent in advance so no one arrived unprepared. We helped the family identify and label all records together, and document what each person understood and agreed on.
The mother was present for three sessions and said it was the first time she had been able to talk about these things without feeling like she was causing conflict.
The Outcome

The Situation
A recent widower with no idea where to start
A man in his early sixties had managed finances jointly with his wife for thirty years. After she passed away, he found himself unable to locate basic documents and unsure what accounts or policies were held in her name alone.
What We Did
We began with a Getting-in-Order session at his home, which gave him a clear initial inventory. Over three further visits we built a complete Secure Records System, including a guide explaining what each category of document was for and where to find equivalent records going forward.
The Outcome
- 47 documents located, categorised, and labelled
- Clear picture of what he held and what had been in his wife's name
- His adult daughter now co-holds the folder system
